The figure skating action at the Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea, is complete, and as a part of our ongoing Iced Coffee coverage of the Games, we recapped the action in the ice dancing with special guest hosts Melissa Gregory and Denis Petukhov.
Melissa and Denis are six-time U.S. medalists (four of those silver medals) and were Olympians at the 2006 games in Torino, Italy. Today they are coaches, parents and managing directors of the rink at the Brookfield Place mall in New York City.
Listen as they weigh in on the 2018 action and also speak to their experiences in 2006 — and their sons also occasionally weigh in with their thoughts on ice dancing (a lot of cooing).

Conley is one of our favorite members of Skating Twitter. When she’s not tweeting skating events in the middle of the night, she is working in television in Los Angeles as an aspiring writer. She is also a theater critic, and reviews LA theater on her website, On Stage & Screen.
Stay tuned for more Olympic figure skating recaps with more guest hosts in the weeks ahead, including 2006 Olympians and six-time U.S. medalists Melissa Gregory & Denis Petukhov talking the ice dancing competition and 2010 and 2014 Olympian and four-time U.S. champion Jeremy Abbott chatting about the women’s event.
Cox is a humor writer, figure skating coach and a former elite skater as well. Jocelyn’s been published on HuffPost, Slate and Scary Mommy and she just published her new book, First Day on the Ice.It’s a book aimed at parents considering getting their kids into skating or parents who have already done that and are looking for more information.
